Lycopene Role Against Disease

At least there are 4 kohort studies reported factual relation between ycopene consumption and the risk of prostate cancer. Giovannuci (1999) reported that there is a 21% declining of prostate cancer risk to men who consume lycopene in large quantities.

Other research also proves that population consumes lycopene in high quantity has 36% lower risk than population consumes smaller quantity of lycopene. Gann and friends (1999) reported that man with high level of lycopene in his blood has 25% lower risk against prostate cancer.
